    1. I agree. I think out of a lot of plugin synth demos I’ve heard, this one has really captured some kinda ‘analogue mojo’ and I’m really liking it. Now all they have to do is build it in hardware and… oh wait… 😉

  1. This plugins is amazing. I have used the Reaktor version so far, but the new native version sounds even better, has more sounds with all the typical trademark presets and is quite inexpensive, compared to what other companies charge for their emulations. To my ears the OP-X PRO-II is just about so good as it can get. Highly recommended!

  2. yep thats pretty good, am about sick of hardware synths especially the modular variety, why the wires when you can use a mouse. I’ve been using a mouse now for over 20 years am like a jedi with one, you watch me tear it up with even the most basic Microsoft one. its time to revisit the digital domain and cast aside the synth sheep and the luddites, and 85 euros who can complain.

    whoop whoop!

  3. Been waiting for the x64 version for several years now so thats great news. Although the x32 version works perfectly fine bridged in Cubase, I mainly work in Maschine these days and this is the last vsti I need ported to run a full x64 set up.

  4. I agree it sounds pretty fantastic. I’m having a few problems with the demo on my Mac, some of which cause the plugin to need to be closed and reopened. Also the demo silence drops are way too frequent for me to be able to evaluate this thing. I’d like to spring for the purchase but i’m a little hesitant considering i’ve restarted it bunches of times.

    1. ortho, I believe the Mac plugin is not the final release version. Ive had a few minor problems with it, but I already have the VFX version and that sounds fantastic. I expect they will have it all resolved soon.

      1. i hope so considering i read the whole manual and understand all the inscrutable controls now. I’m pretty stoked on it, overall

    2. As stated in the article above:

Note: SonicProjects says that the new Mac and x64 versions ‘still are in beta state and may not be 100% stable yet.’

  5. Have been using OP-X PRO-II for several years and it has been my “GO TO” analogue VST synth. Maybe I didn’t get the jbridge settings right in the 32 bit version, but it was never 100% bug free in Sonar. This update to 64 bit has been what I have been waiting on for quite a while. I load it up, make multiple instances of it in Sonar Platinum, and it runs perfectly. If you don’t have this synth already, it is well worth the money. You won’t regret this purchase.

    Thank You Sonic Projects !

  6. This sounds just like an OBX! And it makes me forget about hardware. Especially new hardware (not the vintage stuff). The new Prophet 6 or SubPhatty37 also sound different from old synths. But this plugin has the best of both worlds: Unique sound with a lot of character and simple usability in your DAW.

Whiteblob is right. Give this a try and LISTEN. It makes you forget your old hardware 🙂

But use a proper midi-keyboard with a quality keybed, not the cheap rattling shit you usually see for 100-300 bucks.

  7. This is a seriously seriously good analog model. Even the jupiter presets sound really close. Very easy on the cpu, Does smooth, metallic or really rough, much more versatile than Diva.
