ACPAD Adds A MIDI Controller To Your Acoustic Guitar

Developer Robin Sukroso let us know that the ACPAC MIDI Controller, described as the world’s first wireless MIDI Controller for acoustic guitar, is now available via a Kickstarter project.

The ACPAD lets you play instruments, control effects, record and trigger loops, trigger samples and control your DAW, wirelessly, from an acoustic guitar.

Here is the official intro video:

ACPAD has an adhesive surface that attaches to your guitar, without any screws, wires or permanent alterations made to your guitar. It can also safely be removed and replaced without leaving any residue.

A USB dongle plugins into your laptop or mobile device and ACPAD syncs wirelessly with your favorite music apps and DAWs (Ableton, Logic, etc.). If you prefer, you can also connect ACPAD with a standard mini-USB cable.

Features include:

  • 8x touch pads
  • 10x preset buttons
  • 2x looper channels
  • 2x slider faders
  • 4-5 hours of wireless use on a charge

The ACPAD is available to backers for 249 Euro. The Kickstarter project has already met its funding goal. See the project site for details.

  1. hmm
    kinda of a strange look
    great idea though
i do have a suggestion though, make one with wood grain look or something that looks like it was part of design

  2. Similar stuff exists, but this does look really well designed. For live performers this would be fantastic. Strat version too please?
