UVI has introduced Falcon – a new software synth, for Mac & Windows, that they describe as the ‘most complete hybrid instrument available’.

Falcon lets you mix and modulate samples, synthesis modules, fx and more.

Here is the official overview video for Falcon:

Falcon is an advanced and truly unlimited hybrid instrument, bringing together an extensive collection of cutting-edge oscillators, effects, modulators and event processors and delivering them in a highly-scriptable environment.

Falcon allows you to create and manipulate sound with unparalleled precision and finesse, from basic sample slicing and synth design to extravagantly modulated multitimbral hybrids.

Falcon runs stand-alone or in your DAW as a plugin, is natively surround capable up to 10.2 channels, can take just about any sound you can throw at it for fuel (and some pictures, too) and is fully compatible with all UVI Powered instruments.

Falcon Audio Demos:

Features:

  • 15 state-of-the-art oscillators, including granular and time-stretching engines by IRCAM and fully-featured Wavetable, FM, Drum and Pluck modules.
  • Over 80 high-quality FX including algorithmic and convolution reverbs, delays, modeled filters, distortions, dynamics processors, analyzers, multi-fx and more.
  • Control over MIDI processing, synthesis, effects and modulation in a single window for an immediate and adaptive sound design workflow.
  • Script custom event generators or even fully-scripted instruments with custom UI’s.

Here is a guide to getting started with Falcon:

Falcon is available now with an introductory price of US $229 through November 9th, 2015 (normally $349.00. See the UVI site for details.

  1. This may be the most flexible single vst ever made….15 types of oscillator,!
I haven’t stopped using it since I bought it, serously the most powerful VSTs ever made, it sounds amazing.

  2. I’ve been playing with it, potentially a really powerful instrument, but some major workflow, interface and tech issues are stopping this to be a great tool. At least for me so fat.

      1. Hi, I actually did and all I got after 2 days was an automated response. The issue was that I couldn’t find a way to load the default presets, but I ended up creating the folder manually. That fixed the problem.
I also got a crash which is never fun.
Most of the other things are on some odd interface/workflow decisions but I guess that’s me 😉

Since you seem more active then the support fellas I’d like to understand the Undo function in the standalone version.

  3. when you get a new piece of candy ,you take the paper off before you eat it.
When you get new software please take the time to read the whole instructions.
    Every thing works fine!
    Great job UVI

    1. I take it a step further: I read the whole manual BEFORE I even buy. Have done so for Falcon even though I’m still saving pennies for it. Can’t wait.
