One of the biggest strengths of the Eurorack modular standard is the vast array of module options that are now available. But it also has the side effect of making it hard for synthesists new to Euro to know where to start.

In this video, filmed at the Bells ‘n’ Whistles, Crackles ‘n’ Pops modular meet in Peterborough, Scanner (Robin Rimbaud) gives a demo and tour of his portable Eurorack modular synth rig. 

Rimbaud talks about how he uses specific modules to achieve his personal sound and also how he sees the immediacy of his hardware system as an exciting alternative to the capabilities of a computer-based system.
