Rossum Electro-Music share this teaser image today for their new Evolution synthesizer.
The image captures E-Mu co-founder Dave Rossum in this studio this morning, filming the intro video for the Evolution.
Details are to be announced still, but the photo suggests that the Evolution may be a Euro format update on the original E-Mu Modular System (1973). Expect more info to be announced at the 2016 NAMM Show.

I’m all for it. I love seeing the trailblazers join the Euro party. I’m sure we will be seeing some reissue kit from these companies however, once that’s all out of the way I’m thinking that we are going to experience some interesting products via big budget rivalries.
Emu made the best sounding analog synths before the “Sampler Revolution” I don’t think these Emu Euro Modules are made by the currant Emu Systems who now making wooden headphones, http://www.emu.com/images/headers/topbanner/Woodseries.pdf
I used to sell Emu stuff; started at the end of the Emulator II and the release of the EIII and Emax. Always liked the sound of their filters. Happy to see a modular synth being released by one of the greats of the industry.

Still have my E-Mu Esynth keyboard and will never sell it. It may be a sampler, but it can still be made to sound more analog than most VA synths. I always loved their products.
