Waldorf 37-key Eurorack Keyboard ‘The Base Station For Your Modular Experience’

At the 2016 NAMM Show, Waldorf introduced their new Eurorack keyboard and modules.

In this video, Rolf Wöhrmann gives us an overview of the kb37 Controller Keyboard and three new modules:

  • dvca1 Dual VCA module for Eurorack systems
  • mod1 Modulator module for Eurorack systems
  • cmp1 Compressor module for Eurorack systems

      there are about 14 connectors on the board, cannot remember the exact number but in any case more than enough to put many small modules in. Power is with 1.5 A quite good to feed hungry modules.

        1. We thought about having 5V as well, but since most new designs are going away from requiring 5V from the bus since it’s easily done directly on the PCB with a TL431 or similar for almost no cost.

          But if you happen to have modules still requiring 5V just get a Doepfer 5V adaptor for about 15€ and put it in one of the 14 connectors. Done.

  1. The kb37 with the euro-version of the Haible living VCOs and Serge filters from Random Source. And in time for Christmas 2016. Yes please!

    Also, Rolf has hypnotizing eyes, I’d buy anything this man is selling.

    Translation: It’s expensive and you probably can’t afford it.

    It’s a bit like going to a restaurant and seeing no prices on the menu.
