Father & Son Duo Covers Kraftwerk’s ‘The Robots’

Sunday Synth Jam: This video, via Andrew Westphal, is a music video for the Andrew and Hudson cover of The Robots by Kraftwerk.

Andrew & Hudson is a duo, made up of Westphal and his son.

“For this project, my intent was to spend some creative fun time with my 6 year old son, teaching him about music production and synthesizers,” notes Westphal. “I also wanted to introduce him to Kraftwerk—heroes of mine since childhood. We had a lot of fun making this and hope you enjoy…The Robots!”

  1. Great version.Has more sonic prescence than the original.
Really nice job and good to see a young Karl Bartos in the making.

  2. That is freaking awesome! Great work. As an aside, I’m always amazed at how funky Kraftwerk’s rhythms are

  3. Kraftwerk, so awesome! This brings up lot’s of memories when I was in High School. I saw Kraftwerk in concert back in the 80’s and it was a blast! 🙂

  4. not great for the kid in years to come when he hits puberty and kraftwerk are not a cool band with his peers and somebody regurgitates this video of youtube on their smart phone to his class mates.

this kid will probably end up liking country music in rebellion over his fathers pushy paternal pretences.
