The Sound Of The Sequential Circuits Pro-One Analog Synthesizer

This video, via Reuben Jones, is a demo of some of the sonic possibilities of the vintage Sequential Circuits Pro-One analog synthesizer.

The Pro-One, made from 1981-84, is a monophonic synth that offers two VCOs, dual EGs, a 40-stage step sequencer and more.

If you’ve used the SCI Pro-One synth, let us know what you think of it in the comments!

  1. I wish someone would make a Versio 2.0 of this synth; Dave Dmith or Korg or ….and for a reasonable price available to the masses.

    1. Check out the DSI Mopho keyboard. I heard the circuit board actually has “ProOne 2.0” etched on it. Don’t bother with the module though it has terrible encoders

  2. My first synth! Mine could use some tlc these days, but I’d never even consider selling it. The modulation capabilities are great!

  3. I still have mine but needs TLC. I used to have two but regrettably sold one. Had a great “organic-fluid” sound.

  4. Looking forward to what U-He comes up with as he develops the rePro-One emulation. A continual contest between meticulous faithfulness and reasonable CPU usage.

Like the Jexus-vibe of the video!

  5. What can I use on PC to make videos like this easily (a la Jexus).. I would love to do some as well (not for Pro One but other synths). Thanks!
