Nine 30mm faders, 9 MIDI buttons and 8 encoders are at the center of Impact LX49’s control panel. Each control is fully programmable to send any MIDI CC message for use with hardware or software MIDI products. Used with Nektar DAW integration, the controls provide pre-mapped DAW control, giving you the best of both worlds. Control settings can be stored in any of the 5 Impact LX+ presets for recall.

For groove and beat creation, the Impact LX’+s offer 8 velocity-sensitive pads. Each pad can be assigned any MIDI note number or MIDI cc message for use as MIDI trigger or toggle buttons.

6 dedicated transport buttons are always within reach and mapped to control Cycle, Rewind, Forward, Stop, Play and Record. Press Shift to get access to alternate functions such as Goto L, Set L, Set R, Undo, Click and Mode. Dedicated Track up/down and Patch up/down buttons are located below the display.

  1. Yawn. Another 8/8/8 kB controller.
Don’t care how good the software is. These 8/8/8 designs are done to death and uninspiring to play. Somebody, anybody, give me an updated version of the X-station. Keyboard controller with its panel laid out like an actual synth.

    1. Yup spot on still love my xstation. What we really need tho is something a bit more the xstation is limited by the fact that it is a synth, would be nice to have the osc / filt / env toggle buttons not limited to the onboard synths architecture as something like this is great for the likes of reaktor but more than 3 osc and your scuppered currently. That and a proper detailed 6″ or more tablet type screen and itd be a winner. Wouldnt care if it was £500 itd be worth it just to template out all the hardware and software synths and have one proper centralised controller

    2. Novation seems to have given up on Automap and the X-Station, but a combination smart DAW controller, audio/MIDI interface and keyboard with a built-in synth seems like an obvious design. Still love my X-Station and it would probably be the last piece of kit (besides computer) that I would let go because it does do almost everything.

    1. I am a Sonar user, so I thought this(A-Pro) was about best you could get. Looking further seems to me(novice), that it just seems to go a bit further, and this has been documented from other A-Pro users. Just seems the next evolution, as long as everything maps accordingly. Seems more keys, and lots of features I seem to like…actual pitch/mod wheels, and a host of other small, but yet advantageous functionality. By the way I am a novice user, so more advanced users may have more to say, price point also seems reasonable! Thanks!!!
