Dialog Audio Intros Modulation Processor 3244

Dialog Audio has introduced Modulation Processor 3244 — an AAX (32-/64-bit), AU (32-/64-bit), VST (32-/64-bit) compatible audio software plug-in for Mac OS X (10.7 or higher) and Windows (XP or higher), designed to specifically sync and modulate hardware synthesizer parameters from within your DAW.

The Modulation Processor 3244 plug-in provides three LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators), two slope generators, and four envelope generators, all of which can be synchronized to the host application.

What this means is that it makes it easy to generate control signals for analog gear that are synced to your DAW software.

The modular structure of Modulation Processor 3244 also lets you tailor the modulation signals to suit your hardware setup, so classic synthesizers and analogue modular systems can be integrated into modern production environments.

Synthesizers equipped with MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) inputs can be modulated via MIDI CC (Continuous Controller) or SysEx (System Exclusive) messages. And synths with CV inputs can be modulated by patching spare outputs from an audio interface to the synth’s CV inputs. Alternatively, a MIDI-to-CV convertor can be used.

Here’s the official intro video:

Pricing and Availability

Modulation Processor 3244 can be bought directly from Dialog Audio for an introductory price of US $50 (excluding VAT), normally $65.

  1. Can you automate automation in Pro Tools 12 with this? Avid have yet to implement midi plug-ins, so I’m just curious what kind of work-arounds one might have to go through with this software..

  2. I have a question regarding MIDI for anyone that has used this sort of software. Since most MIDI hardware is limited ro a resolution of 128 parameters is there noticible stepping when modulating something with software like this or is there some sort of interpolation/smoothing?

  3. loved the idea . got da plug .. have :juno106 . jd800 . juno alpha .matrix 1000 (os1.6) waldorf micro wave v1 . jx8p . korg ex8000 .. just cant get it to work .. would love to have a you tube tutorial please ..
