Moog Model 15 For iPad Hands-On Tutorial

This series of videos, via KarateSnoopy, offers an in-depth look at the Moog Music Model 15 iPad app.

The Moog Model 15 hardware modular synthesizer was originally released in 1973, and was re-released last year as a $10,000 limited edition reissue. The system offers a complete analog synth voice.

Moog Music says that the Model 15 iOS app is designed to meticulously recreate each module of the original system, including the Moog 921–series oscillators, 904A Low Pass Filter and the 907 Fixed Filter Bank.

Pricing and Availability

The Moog Model 15 Synthesizer app is available now for US $29.99 in the App Store.

  1. the synth sound is so low i can’t make out if it’s a casio calculator quality or $10,000 quality….
try again with the volume UP when recording please.

  2. Pity there’s no Windows/Linux versions. The low cost is offset by the high price of the hardware platform. Touch input is no substitute for a mouse, either. Otherwise it sounds great, albeit a little metallic.
