Skinnerbox Jams In The ‘Tree Of Eden’

Sunday Synth Jam: Skinnerbox (Olaf Hilgenfeld and Iftah Gabbai) shared this video, which captures a synth jam they created in a Honduran jungle.

Technical Details:

“We got a once-in-a-life-time chance to hike in the “Uyuca” biosphere reserve, which is normally closed to the public and only opens its gates for research purposes,” they note.

“While walking in this place of indescribable primal beauty, we encountered a cricket and recorded it using our ultrasound equipment. After pitching it 4 octaves down it sounded like the best shaker ever. So the day after, we took this cricket sound and climbed the most amazing tree we have ever seen (locally known as the tree of eden) and played with it.”

    1. Right, no one should create art or enjoy themselves in a world where there is injustice. The only way we can help those children is to stop this frivolity!

    2. The video has gone missing from this post so judgement must have been rendered on the propriety of performing music in a world where injustice exists!

  1. I can play Barry Manilow’s Copa Cabana strapped to the underside of a speeding tractor trailer using my monotron ! 😀 What do I win?!
