Features:

  • Multi-threading support for computing IRs in the background
  • Fine-grain controls for parameterizing each voom’s number of dimensions, size, offset from sound-source origin, and material reflection dB loss.
  • Time manipulation controls for delay, stretch, and linearity (RT60 ranges from 1 – 20 seconds!)
  • Fast frequency-dependent time-decay functions
  • Pan / stereo / mix (wet/dry) controls
  • Graphical user interface for displaying IR and spectrogram

Specifications:

  • VST2/VST3, Windows 32 and 64bit

  1. Green is very easy on the eyes. People make too much about how a VST looks. It doesn’t matter, as long as the parameters can be clearly seen and adjusted. Case in point: The fantastic Valhalla reverbs, which have been repeatedly criticized for their appearance, but are used by big name artists; “Hello” by Adele, which won multiple Grammy awards, uses Valhalla Vintage Verb for the reverb on some of the instruments.

On the Internet, any one, regardless of their musical accomplishments or qualifications, can post pretty much any uninformed opinion they want to (indeed, they can use multiple sock puppet accounts to make their opinion appear more prevalent than it really is). This is why I filter which opinions I consider important. Someone with a Bandcamp or Soundcloud link can prove they can make compelling music. Someone with a major label contract or a Grammy on their desk proves they can make good popular music. Someone who just posts to online forums all day and doesn’t have a link to any music they make, well, I think their opinion can be discarded as unimportant.

    1. Valhalla stuff looks great. They have nice and simple interfaces that are easy on the eyes, they don’t look like a box of Lego from windows hell. 😉
