Gospel Musicians Intros Neo-Soul Keys Studio

Gospel Musicians has announced the release of Neo-Soul Keys Studio, the newest iteration of its Neo-Soul Keys collection.

Neo Soul Keys Studio is a standalone sample library plugin (VST/AU/AAX/Standalone) and features a new sample engine. It also contains all of Overloud’s VKFX keyboard FX suite built in. These effects are also included as a separate FX rack plugin that can be used in your DAW to process audio.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

“Neo-Soul Keys Studio are some of the most realistic, organic, and warm sounding electric pianos ever created. We pride ourselves on the intangibles. By intangibles, we mean: grit, dirt, release, bark, mechanics, bumps, clanks, and all of the electromechanical goodness that makes up an electric piano. Without such great detail, your electric piano can be very sterile, lifeless, and without character. “

  1. I’m gonna sound stupid but how do I know my keyboard is compatible with this type of stuff? I’ve never used anything from an outside source like a laptop. I have a good laptop and my keyboard is a yamaha p155. Will someone please tell me what equipment/ programs I need? A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Your computer and keyboard should be compatible – basically you’ll just need a USB MIDI interface and a MIDI cable.

You’ll use the MIDI cable to connect your keyboard to the MIDI interface and then the MIDI interface plugs into a USB port on your computer. This is what’s needed to allow your keyboard to talk to your computer.

Once you’ve got this connected, though, you’ll need some sort of music applications. There are two main types of MIDI apps – standalone and plugins. Standalone apps are programs that you start and run just like you would Word or Internet Explorer. Plugins are apps that run within other applications that add features.

Neo Soul happens to work both ways – but it’s something you’d want to watch for with other apps.

      Good luck with this!
