Audio Damage EOS 2 Algorithmic Reverb Now Available For Mac, Windows

Audio Damage has released EOS 2 – a massive update to their Eos algorithmic reverb.

EOS 2 brings a new GUI (featuring full Retina and Windows HiRes compatibility), a new cross-platform preset mechanism, a new reverb algorithm, the addition of crossover controls, the addition of VST3 versions, and a ground-up rebuild for future-proofing.

The algorithms are identical to those used in AD’s EOS Eurorack reverb module.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

Want a traditional dark plate reverb? Eos can do that. How about a short, dense room sound for your drum buss? Not a problem.

But where Eos really comes in to its own is when you drop Superhall on your piano or synthesizer tracks. The incredibly long modulated hall sounds of Eno-style ambience are where Eos thrives, something that is not possible with convolution ‘verbs.

Eos features four high-quality custom-designed reverb algorithms, made with the modern production environment in mind. It offers three different plate simulators and a ‘Superhall’ algorithm.

  1. Man I love Audio Damage plugins, I have the Dubstation and ADVerb plugs and they are my first go to plugs for everything, the reverb is just so damn good and i think i paid about $50 for each, such big hopes for this new verb!

  2. I love plate reverbs so insta-purchased EOS when it first came out but never gelled with it. There was something about the sound that didn’t fit with my brain… Always found it a bit dense and muggy, and I had no use for the Superhall. Still, for $10 upgrade it’s worth a punt on the new Valhalla algo. AD/Chris always deserves being supported!

  3. Upgraded yesterday. You can definitely tell its much improved. Things seem to blend better and it has more modern reverb sound. Definitely worth the price either as a full purchase or upgrade.

  4. No thank you, i much prefer ValhallaDSP reverbs. Even though Sean Costello is behind the first EOS, his plugins are just better overall and even less expensive (50$).
Plus i’d never want to deal with Chris Randall again, the guy just loses it if you want to return two plugins; hey it’s Audio Damage that claims “We don’t like/make demos, but you can return any of our plugins with refund and ‘no questions asked'”. And don’t think i’m the only one in this case, several other ‘clients’ have had to deal with Mr Randall tantrums.
It still seems like a good reverb plugin, but basically i now prefer to buy from professional and ethical designers who deliver exactly what they promess and more…

  5. It’s true, EOS and ValhallaDSP reverb coding is written by the same person, Sean Costello. It’s too bad Tomahawk had a rough time with Chris Randall. While he can be gruff, his products are solid, not sure why anyone would absolutely want a refund. *shrug*

I bought the upgrade. Yes, there is a subtle improvement. Worth it.
