Tangerine Dream – Love On A Real Train (Acoustic Cover)

Sunday Synth Jam: Here’s a rare synth-free Tangerine Dream cover – an acoustic version of Love On A Real Train, from the Risky Business soundtrack.

The acoustic arrangement highlights the influence of American minimalist music on TD, especially the music of Terry Riley and Steve Reich

The performance is by students of Eskilstuna Musikskola (Sweden):

Flute – Emma Nordgren
Clarinet – Albin Björklund
Alto Saxophone – Truls Lundin
Trumpet – Simeon Maskuniitty
Percussion – Albert Lännerström
Choir – Tonhöjdarna
Guitar 1 – Hanna Maurin Nordling
Guitar 2 – Sandra Jonsson
Cello – Alva Bengtsson
Double Bass – August Wiking

  1. ‘Love on a real train’ is a complete rip off of Steve Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians. There is nothing ‘original’ about it.

    Period.

    Been saying this for years.
