  1. Super cool. I’m glad he does these. I look forward to his videos on the 60 and 70m when they come back from the shop. The old Yamaha analogs were really cool and different. I’m glad I got my CD-15 a few months back because it is an amazing instrument that is way cooler than many more famous instruments today.

    1. I agree.

I have a 5, 10, and 15. They are amazing synths. Lots of little differences in the envelope times that makes them all sound a bit different.

The fact that you can CV them all together makes for lots of flexibility.

They are a snap to add filter CV and change voltages to US on as well.

  2. I have to say, these longer, more detailed videos are a substantial improvement over the little short ones he used to post.

But I’m a sucker for any synth video that doesn’t feature the “ocean rowboat cam”.

  3. The most underrated synthesizers of all time except the CS-80. Here is the complete list: CS01, CS01II, CS5, CS10, CS15, CS15D, CS20M, CS30, CS30L, CS40M, CS50, CS60, CS70M, and CS80. I believe the CS1 Reface, CS1X and CS2X are a different beast. Did I miss any?

    1. So the CS-80 is underrated? Makes no sense. It’s one of the most valued and estimated and loved synthesizers ever made.

  4. I’ve owned a Yamaha CS-10 for about 20 years. Only a single oscillator, but it’s a lot more straight forward than the CS-30. The CS-10 has lightening fast envelopes and great square wave bass sounds. Recently I’ve been sequencing it with a Korg SQ-1. Really a cool little synth.
