Korg Intros Grandstage Stage Piano Line At 2017 Summer NAMM Show

At the 2017 Summer NAMM Show, Korg is introducing the Grandstage, a new line of stage pianos.

The Korg Grandstage offers a total of seven sound engines, each optimized for one type of instrument sound. In addition to dedicated piano, electric piano, synth engines and more, Grandstage offers three organ engines: CX-3, the all-new Compact, and VOX engines; each faithfully recreating the instruments that inspired them.

Grandstage’s interface panel is designed to put everything at your fingertips, without the need for menus. It features a dedicated OLED screen, sound selection and volume knobs per part – one on the left and one on the right side of the panel, which can be used for intuitive splitting and layering.

  1. Did anyone notice the foley at the beginning ? She clomps over to the Korg… “clop! clop! clop!” like she’s wearing golf cleats. (But you can see she’s wearing these soft ballet slippers).

Ask yourself, was that really necessary? Does it make you feel confident in the demonstration you are about to hear?

  2. I’d like to be the guy getting a pay rise every time they have a meeting at Korg and I suggest the market is demanding new stage piano.

  3. The SV-1 is a getting a little long in the tooth, and there’s some great Swedish competition, so it’s great to see KORG update their stage piano – would love to know more about the range!!
