Moog Updates Model 15 To Version 2.0

Moog today released version 2 of their Model 15 virtual modular synthesizer for iOS. The update adds compatibility with iOS 11, support for AUv3 & Ableton Link 2 and more.

Model 15 offers not only a great virtual recreation of one of their classic modular synths, but it expands it with features like four-voice polyphonic operation.

Here’s what’s new in Model 15 version 2.0:

  • Support for iOS 11 (Please update to the latest version for the best performance and optimal behavior.)
  • Support for AUv3 extension instrument and insert/trunk effects. (On iOS 11 in GarageBand 2.3, both view sizes are supported. On iOS 10, touching the Model 15 image in the simplified preset navigation view, makes the full instrument accessible.)
  • Support for iPad Pro 10.5” at native resolutions
  • Support for Ableton Link v2
  • Updated all libraries and frameworks

Pricing and Availability

Moog Model 15 is currently available for US $9.99 (normally $29.99).

  1. Devs push updates, Apple pushes them based on region and when they feel like it. Might be soft- pushed for a few regions to work out the kinks or could just be a delay in the servers per region.

  2. First, thank you Moog. It’s like getting several free Moogs!

This should be in the release notes: you can run more instances than you think if *close the AU window for each instance*. That is a very very rich UI. Hide it and get your RAM/processing cycles back.
