looks like great stuff wish the screen was a little bigger but looks sweet.
The screen is small but pretty crisp and there’s a ton of information onscreen. It’s not that hard to read.
I’m still using an E-mu Planet Earth and some useful sample sets from other modules in the line like the Virtuoso orchestra. I made good use of a couple of hardware Proteii early on, layered with Junos and etc. They really hit their stride with the Proteus 2000 range. Their basic sound was so crisp, it lifted whole mixes at times. I sure wish I was a modular player, with Dave releasing these powerful little beauties. I’d all but kill for an updated Morpheus *keyboard*. The module alone was an awesome instrument to sit and play with CC pedals modding things. I can’t take up modulars; I have a mortgage!
The Morpheus was my first credit card debt. So worth it!

Such a creative guy! Pretty sure he’s my favorite synth engineer ever.

It’s an amazing sampler. (I’m one of the beta testers so I’ve had it for a couple of months now) The pitch modulation is spectacularly smooth. With 8 channels and multiple samples per zone, it’s going to be an amazing drum sampler, work as another couple of oscillators, and I’ll have channels left over for loops. Any of the 24 CV inputs can be assigned to any channel so if you need 8 CV controllers for one channel, that’s doable. I bought a module that accepts Midi in and provides 8 trigger outputs that is dedicated just to the Assimil8or.
Did I mention it also records and plays back CV signals? Dogs and cats living in harmony….what has this world come to?
