Soundmachines has launched a Kickstarter to fund production of the (arches) tactile universal interface, an advanced capacitive touch control surface for modular synthesis.

The controller implements concepts developed by pioneers of modular synth design, but using modern technologies.

(arches) features 12 slider-type elements that can be configured either as individual elements (with configurable range, midi channel, quantization and CV standard) or grouped together in one of many keyboard configurations. It also features thumbpads/Lightplanes, sensitive three-dimensional surfaces (X-Y-Z) that are available as standard outputs all the time.

Production of the (arches) is being funded via a Kickstarter project. (arches) is available to project backers for 750 Euro, or about $917.
