  1. lol.. so i guess korg has no more interest to sell its very own daw plugin, gadget. by offering reason lite for free korg is engaging in corporate cannibalism. it is effectively competing against itself. from a company’s standpoint i cannot imagine anything more dumb than that. rofl…

    1. It is a little weird. Gadget on Mac full retail is 299 right? To upgrade from Reason light is only like 30 bucks more? For someone only interested in the mobile iteration of Gadget though I think Korg’ll keep on doing ok.

    2. Ragnhild, I disagree. It used to be the case that you could buy a mini-version of Logic, pre-GarageBand. Its a sensible business move to a) encourage users to eventually go for the full version and b) to sell add-on packs, etc. on the side. Likewise with AAS and various third-party sound vendors offering libraries with limited free players. I loosely predict that a lot of people will use both and swear by them.

    3. Actually Korg has a few of their software synths in Rack Extension format, so they are already integrated into the Reason architecture and not really stepping on their own toes too much. When some kid has his new Korg controller and loads up Reason Lite and goes to their website then sees the MonoPoly and the Poly6 sitting there in the shop, thats a good chance for another Korg product sale

  2. I registered my microKey Midi controller and haven’t gotten any keys. Korgs web site(s) are a mess. I had to make two separate accounts then make another to comment and ask for help on thier support page. I really just want a Reason Lite Key but Korg isn’t even there. Korg customer support is garbage.

    1. Hi,

just visit http://www.korg-license-center.com/index.php?hl=en and enter the Korg Software Bunde Code which was delivered together with the microkey controller (written on a small cardboard). After this you will be forwared to a page where your licence keys for various products including Reason Lite are shown.

I have done this yesterday and it has worked for me.
