Spitfire Audio has released LABS Drums – a drum virtual instrument.
Recorded at Spitfire HQ in 2012 using top-of-the-range mics, these drums showcase the talents of drummer Oliver Waton and engineer Stanley Gabriel.
It’s a free download via the company’s site.
Weird sounding kit. I can’t tell if it is due to programming or recording, probably the former. Still, might be useful for some folks who want punchy, beefy tones.
Being both a drummer and sound designer, I approve of this. 🙂
