Tangerine Dream Live Performance At Dekmantel

Sunday Synth Jam: This video, via Boiler Room, captures a live performance by the current incarnation of Tangerine Dream.

Tangerine Dream opened the e Dekmantel festival in Amsterdam, which was held Aug 1-5, 2018.

While some fans are still debating whether Tangerine Dream is still Tangerine Dream after the death of its founder, Edgar Froese, in 2015, the live performances of the band’s current incarnation are arguably its most electronic and vital in decades.

Tangerine Dream is:

  • Thorsten Quaeschning – keyboards, guitar, drums, vocals
  • Hoshiko Yamane – violin, cello, ableton push
  • Ulrich Schnauss – keyboards, sequencer control / ableton, FX

  1. Not too shabby at all. I remember in the early 80’s getting criticized for having a single computer monitor on stage .. my how times have changed.

  2. Their OZORA festival performance was even better. Look for it on Youtube. This is turning out to be one of the best TD line-ups ever.
