Organizers of the B-Wave Festival – a annual Belgian electronic music festival – let us know that this year’s event is scheduled for Dec 1st, 2018.

The Festival will feature:

  • 4 acts on the main stage
  • 2 acts on the foyer stage
  • Foyer stalls of specialized record labels, distributors, manufacturers, artists etc.
  • Separate hall with an Ambient exhibition (Erica Hinyot: “Expo Expérience ODE A LA PLUIE”) and music of Jean-Marc Ledermann.
  • Ambient movie “Eiland” (The Isle).
  • A discussion/interview board on sound synthesis and synth-recording techniques with Michael Stearns, Erik Wollo, Rob Papen, Michel Huygen
  • Autograph sessions

Featured artists will include:

  • Michael Stearns: His live performance will be a true 5.1 surround performance with excerpts of the movies “Chronos”, “Samsara” and “Baraka”.
  • Erik Wøllo: is a Norwegian composer and musician, guitarist and synthesist, known for his electronic and ambient musical soundscapes.
  • Pyramaxx: Is the common project of the Leverkusen/Germany based band Pyramid Peak (Axel Stupplich & Andreas Morsch) and guitar player Max maxxess Schiefele.
  • Aerodyn: Consists of Jan Buytaert (The Roswell Incident), Alain Kinet and Philippe Wauman (aka Anantakara)
  • Alienna: A Belgian musician that creates ‘fantastic spacy and trancy soundscapes.
  • Onsturicheit: Modular artist that creates rich and unusual soundscapes.

  1. Might go there and meet and greet some people I haven’t seen for a long time.
    Unfortunately the informaton on the “Gear” section of the festival site is inaccurate, misleading and outdated. Otherwise all seems OK. And why are only the musicians introduced, and no info given on other participants in the interview / discussion session?

    1. The gear section indeed may seem outdated, but I cannot see why it is misleading, has nothing to do with the festival, a completely different section on their web site as well. Furthermore it is up to the organizers to decide who will participate in the discussion and how it will be organized.
