Synthplex 2020 Postponed Because Of Coronavirus Epidemic

Organizers of Synthplex 2020 announced today that they are postponing this year’s event because of the impact of Coronavirus epidemic.

The rescheduled Synthplex dates are Oct 29-Nov 1, 2020.

The epidemic has already resulted in the cancellation of multiple music industry events, including SxSW, which was scheduled to start next week in Austin, Texas, and Musikmesse 2020, Europe’s largest music industry trade fair.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can be easily spread from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, that was first identified in Wuhan, China. On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern”. On January 31, 2020, the US declared it a public health emergency.

CORONA UPDATE

Due to international travel restrictions and concerns for the health and safety of attendees, vendors, artists, presenters and Synthplex Staff, Synthplex 2020 has been postponed.

Please watch for new dates to be announced soon.

Two upcoming major music industry events, Ableton Loop and Superbooth 2020, are scheduled to be held as planned. Organizers are monitoring government health organization recommendations and plan to respond as is appropriate.
