This episode of the 1Up show – an online video game show – features a look at the new Korg DS-10 synthesizer, which runs on the Nintendo DS platform.

 

CNet Asia reports that the Korg DS-10, the software synth for the Nintendo DS, should be available in Japan in July:
The original MS-10 (price 53,500 yen in 1978; US$300 then) was a monophonic, single oscillator job. DS-10 simulator works as two synthesizers (each of them, dual-oscillator affair), since Nintendo DS has dual-screen, upper and lower.

The Korg DS-10, the cool new virtual synth for the Nintendo DS, is going to get worldwide distribution, according to the DS-10 blog:

Korg is introducing a Japan-only cartridge for the DS that turns it into a simulation of the classic Korg MS-10 synth. It actually looks kinda cool, too.
No word on global availability. We can hope, though.
