2007 Winter NAMM Show: Korg announced its latest software synthesizer offering, the Legacy Collection – Analog Edition 2007. It pairs the “MS-20″ and “Polysix” soft synths from the original Legacy Collection with a newly created version of the classic “Mono/Poly.” The Legacy Cell software synthesizer plus MS-20FX and MDE-X effect plug-ins are also included.
Each soft synth utilizes Korg’s proprietary CMT (Component Modeling Technology) to perfectly reproduce the sound and response of the original. CMT also reproduces the character and response curve of each parameter, for results that are completely faithful to the original model.

The JazzMutant Lemur, described as the most advanced and innovative controller created for musicians, sound designers, composers, audio engineers and media artists, now is taking things to the next level of control.
After taking the turn to complete workflow optimization with the last update, the new Version 1.6 not only includes a boost of added functionality, it also brings instant and smooth communication between the Lemur and the host computer providing simplification and out of the box usage.
Here’s the details on the update:

2007 Winter NAMM Show: Behringer’s first attempt at a DJ controller, the BCD2000, didn’t generate the hype that some of their other B-Control controllers have. The company didn’t waste any time coming out with an update, though, and was showing the B-CONTROL DJ BCD3000 software controller at the Winter NAMM show.
Based on the brief glimpse we got at NAMM, it looks like the new dj controller addresses most of the limits of the earlier controller. The B-CONTROL DJ BCD3000 features a 4-channel audio interface, Traktor DJ software, phono-preamps and even a mic preamp for voice-overs.
Here are the details:

2007 Winter NAMM Show: Korg introduced the tiny R3, a full-fledged synthesizer that provides an easy way to enjoy sophisticated synthesis and advanced sound creation. In a compact and light-weight body, it packs 37 full-size, velocity sensing keys, along with two-timbre/eight-voice performance power.
The sound generator section uses the same MMT (Multiple Modeling Technology) used by the Korg Radias.

2007 Winter NAMM Show: Arturia, a company known for its software emulations of classic synths, has announced Origin, a hardware synth that features their software emulations of classic synth hardware.
It sounds a little confusing, but what Arturia has done is put the flexibility of their software synths into a hardware package.
Origin is loaded with modules based on some of the best synthesizers of all time (Moog
Modular, ARP 2600, CS-80, Minimoog and Prophet VS). Origin lets you combine these modules and benefit from the additional possibilities put onboard. The result, according to the company, is a new type of sound accessible through an extremely intuitive interface.
Origin is not a simple Hardware synthesizer, it is an integrated system offering the best out of the hardware and software worlds. Origin can be used stand alone to play live on stage and also as a plug-in with your sequencer in the studio environment.
“For us, the Origin project has been extremely challenging and exciting” said Frédéric Brun, President of Arturia. “We set a very high goal to bring a solution that would offer the best of everything we have today: ergonomics, stability and performances of the hardware; efficient integration within the sequencer programs, extensibility and evolutionary of the software.
From our preview at NAMM, we were impressed. Here’s the details on Origin:
