DJ Mag has announced its take on the Top 100 DJs of 2013, and Dutch progressive & electro house DJ Robbert van de Corput, aka Hardwell has come out on top.
Hardwell is trailed by Top 100 regulars in the top 5:
Armin Van Buuren
About the ranking, Hardwell says “I have so many people I’d like to thank, but none more so than the fans. They have been incredible; their support at my shows and with my music has been out of this world. You really are the best fans in the world.”
Meanwhile, this is what deadmau5 had to say about the ranking:
Can You Feel It is a celebration of the Ultra Music Festival Miami – one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals:
It’s a film about a new generation seen through the eyes of the world’s greatest DJ’s. Tiesto, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Avicii, Afrojack, Fedde le Grand and Boys Noize will be the headlining superstars that will take you on an electrifying journey through Ultra Music Festival and the world of dance music. The film makes you feel like you are on the dance floor and in the DJ booth at the same time and has the pace and feel of a music video mixed with in-depth storylines on the artists, the event and especially the rise of dance music around the world.
Armin Van Buuren tops the 2010 list of the Top 100 Djs in the world, as compiled by DJ Mag. Van Buuren beat out David Guetta, Tiësto, Deadmau5 and Above & Beyond for the top position.
For Van Buuren, it’s his fourth year at the top.
“It’s pretty obvious when you’ve been voted top for three years that at some point you have to come down,” says Van Buuren. “But, obviously, it’s a people’s vote, and I’m not going to lie and say I wouldn’t like to win it again.”
