If you’ve really been aching to see Ms March with a monster synth, the APC crew has got you covered.

While the site of a large modular synth, a Roland TB 303 or a Fairlight CMI III is titillation enough for most synth freaks, the 2010 APC calendar goes a step further.

Here’s what APC’s Simon Iddol has to say about their 2010 calendar:

The calendar itself is a limited edition (500 copies) A3 sized wall calendar featuring legendary synths like Fairlight CMI III, Roland TB 303, PPG Wave, EMS AKS or Roland Jupiter 8.

Our aim is to create a calendar like this in every year and to do something for the music world like the Pirelli calendar for the car world.

If every garage has a hot chick VS cool cars calendar, than every studio needs our calendar.

The model is a world famous Hungarian striptease dancer and model Dorothy Black.

The politically correct side of me thinks that they should have balanced out the gear photos featuring the “world famous Hungarian striptease dancer” with some shots with a hunky naked guy – but photos of naked guys with monster synths would probably kill the vintage synth resale market on eBay forever.

The calendars are $30 via PayPal. Details at the APC site.

SFW preview (that’s probably NSFW) here.

This is a must see – Calvin Harris may have created the ultimate electronic music controller – bikini clad models painted with conductive ink.

Harris performs a version of his new single Ready For The Weekend on a unique human synthesiser- the Humanthesizer.

The instrument employs 15 bikini clad models painted with Bare Conductive, a new skin safe ink which conducts electricity. When the performers touch, the connection completes a circuit, triggering a sound.

Think it’s all fake, and just a cheap excuse to get 15 bikini clad babes into a music video?

Then check out the behind the scenes video below!

Click here to view the embedded video.

The instrument consists of 34 pads on the floor which have been painted with the conductive ink and connected to a computer via some clever custom electronics. The performers stand on the pads, and touch hands to complete a circuit and trigger a sound. Different combinations of pads trigger the different sounds needed to play the track.

The project is the result of a collaboration between Calvin Harris and masters students from the Royal College of Art’s Industrial Design Engineering programme.

Bare Conductive was developed by RCA students Bibi Nelson, Becky Pilditch, Isabel Lizardi and Matt Johnson. The custom electronics and software for the project were created by Matt Johnson, employing two Arduinos and the graphical audio programming tool Max MSP. The performers, floor pads, Arduinos and Max MSP combine to create a giant MIDI controller which is used to create music which is sequenced and quantized with Ableton Live.

Do you think you could get creative, if you had 15 bikini clad models and a gallon of conductive ink at your disposal?

This video captures Mr. Dithers in his studio, during the recording of Sympathy for the Stripper.

According to Mr. Dithers:

The brief shot of the girls is Angie and Shani in my studio during the recording of “Sympathy for the Stripper.” Not much was accomplished that day because they got wasted on brandy and amaretto and decided to make crank calls to other strip joints.

You might think it would be cool to have two strippers in your band, but trust me, its way more trouble than it is worth. No, they don’t have sex with you because they feel the band is “family” and only view your project as a brief distraction from their genetic pre-disposition to create as much unbridled chaos on Earth as possible.

They only show up for a gig if they want to at that very moment. You beg the club owner not to give them free drinks. They are strippers, they have hollow legs. Every night ends the same way. The police are called to break up a brawl after some guy’s woman in the audiece gets jealous and calls one of the girls a “skank.” Angie once shattered some poor bitch’s cheek bone with an ashtray. Its not fun when all the money you make at a gig goes to Frankie the bail bondsman. I do not miss those days at all.

Says Mr Dithers, “The glitch is my bitch.”

Variety reports that MTV Networks Europe has been fined a total of £255,000 ($484,500) by U.K. media regulator Ofcom for airing the uncensored version of Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker, among other offenses.

The “highly offensive language and material” was broadcast before 9 pm.

In a statement, Ofcom said ”Ofcom concluded that this material was not justified by the context of broadcasts that were likely to appeal to children and that the likely audience would have expected to have been protected from the most offensive language and material in such programming.”

“MTV Networks Europe takes this sanction and fine very seriously and has taken a series of steps to minimize as much as possible any breaches in the future,” said a MTV spokesperson. “These include strengthening procedures regarding programs for pre-watershed broadcast, reviewing MTV’s archive programming, increasing the number of staff involved in compliance and investing in a new channel management system.”

This fine seems over the top, especially when the visuals are what’s likely to scar people for life.

This video captures a performance of Blowjob, a experimental exploration of controlled feedback.

If you’re in London, you may want to check out the Dec 12 IMT performance, which will feature Wojciech Kosma’s recent compositions, Headfuck and Blowjob, a composition by Berlin based artist Oliver Laric, and an appearance by Polish new-media artist Jan Simon.

Is this music? Art? Exploitation?

Let me know what you think in the comments.

And if you can’t decide, there are more performances of this particular piece that may help you make up your mind.

Here are the details on the Dec 12 IMT performance:

IMT is proud to present an evening of innovative contemporary music performed by the Wrong Ensemble, an experimental music group established in 2008 by Polish visual artist and composer Wojciech Kosma. Wrong Ensemble is dedicated to performing musical and music theatre works by non-musical artists. For this performance the London based group of amateur and professional classical musicians will consist of Phil D’Aroso, John Bingham-Hall, Nicole Kearey, Kate Lush, Wojciech Pucilowski, Thom Tew, Chris White and others.

Wojciech Kosma lives between Berlin and London, working between art and composition. His artworks and performances are often spatial, sonic, obliquely interactive and poetic, creating speculative aesthetic interventions in public and gallery space. He has exhibited, undertaken commissions and residencies and performed widely in a variety of institutions and arts organisations, as well as informal networks of cultural producers. Most recently in MOMA Warsaw and Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. He is currently research student at Goldsmiths University in London. www.wojciechkosma.com

Oliver Laric studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and, together with Aleksandra Domanovic, Christoph Priglinger and Georg Schnitzer, is one of the co-founders of the platform VVORK. His recent exhibitions include ‘50 50 2008 ? ? TOUCH MY BODY’, Seventeen, London, ‘I love the Horizon’, Le Magasin-Centre National d’art Contemporain, Grenoble, ‘Montage: Unmonumental Online’, New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, and ‘Becks Fusions’, ICA, London.oliverlaric.com

Jan Simon studied psychology and sociology at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow. He works chiefly with films and interactive installations, which make use of motifs from computer games. His works were exhibited at a number of group shows, both in Poland and abroad. In 2006 he was nominated for the “Passport of Polityka” award.

All right you Freaxxx. If you’ve been waiting to make a crappy electronic music video, but you don’t have any money, it’s time to get your video on.

Brokencyde claims to have broken the code. They’ve figured out how to make crappy electronic music videos for $0.00!

Yep – they went DIY and made their video for Freaxxx for no money down!

This video has it all, too:

nice acid bassline

sexy scantily clad babes

What? You need more than that?

Here are Brokencyde’s electronic music video secrets:

We want to tell you some facts about our “gay” video:

We shot this 100% on our own equipment.

We shot this on a budget of $0.00.

This was our first project since graduating film school.

Everybody who worked on this shoot was unpaid therefore we respect EVERYBODY who featured in our video.

We shot this video in four hours.

There was no drinking of alcohol on set. The bottle you see seven drinking from….that’s apple juice believe it or not!

Sorry about the homophobic language – but that’s a quote from the Brokencyde guys.

Let me know what you think about Brokencyde’s Freaxxx. And if you’ve made a better electronic music video for $0.00, put a link to it in the comments!
