‘Bach To Moog’ Sneak Preview

Moog Music has released a new preview video for Bach To Moog – a new album, by Craig Leon, that explores using the Moog modular synthesizer as part of a classical ensemble.

Bach to Moog, coming May 4th from Sony Classical, showcases the reissued Moog Modular Synthesizer, as well as other current Moog synthesizer, in new arrangements of the work of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Unlike the Walter/Wendy Carlos classic, Switched On Bach, the arrangements handle the synthesizer as part of a classical ensemble, rather than an alternative.

Richard Galbraith’s Polyphony – Analog Arrangements Of 16th Century Polyphonic Vocal Music

Richard Galbraith’s Polyphony is a collection of 11 works, by Tallis, Byrd, de Lassus and others, arranged for modular analog synthesizer. Gailbraith doesn’t go the ‘switched on’ route, instead creating arrangements that – while definitely electronic – have more of an organic, orchestral feel.

Last Chance On Interstellar Suite Surround Sound Collectors Edition

Composer & synthesist Amin Bhatia is wrapping up an Indiegogo campaign for the 25th anniversary re-release of his Interstellar Suite.

The Interstellar Suite is a cult favorite for fans of classitronica and symphonic electronica. The Suite was inspired by the arrangements of Wendy Carlos and Isao Tomita, but is an original score.

Bhatia is offering a variety of editions of the release, ranging from a digital binaural version to a DVD version and some collector editions.
