Digidesign has announced Trillium Lane Labs TL Space, the first and only TDM convolution reverb for Pro Tools.

Boasting near-zero latency and superb sound quality, TL Space delivers a number of technical breakthroughs that unleash the full power of the Digidesign Pro Tools|HD Accel platform, and erase the difference between high-end reverb hardware units and software reverb processing.

At its finest with Pro Tools|HD Accel, TL Space includes a full-featured reverb engine that supports mono, stereo, and surround formats. Additionally, TL Space includes a library of reverb and effect impulses for music and post applications.

TL Space delivers stunning realism by combining the sampled acoustics of real spaces with advanced DSP algorithms. Using the latest Pro Tools|HD Accel hardware to the maximum benefit, TL Space harnesses up to eight Pro Tools|HD DSP engines in parallel to deliver smooth, low-latency convolution processing, avoiding typical heavy CPU strain. The processing power of multiple HD Accel DSP engines allows TL Space to deliver near-zero latency processing, and effortless interaction with the plug-in’s library enables mixing and matching of impulses between reverbs.

TL Space is available in a TDM edition supporting TDM, HTDM, RTAS, and AudioSuite for Pro Tools|HD and HD Accel systems, as well as a Native edition supporting RTAS and AudioSuite for Pro Tools|HD or Pro Tools LE systems running Pro Tools 6.2 or newer software.

The MSRP for TL Space TDM edition is $995 US. The Native edition is $495 US.

Digidesign has announced TL EveryPhase, Trillium Lane Labs analog phaser modeling plug-in for Pro Tools TDM and LE systems.

TL EveryPhase delivers classic analog phaser effects, ranging from subtle modulation and tremolo to the most extreme filtered feedback. Offering complete analog phaser models with up to 18 stages, TL EveryPhase combines the timeless sound of outboard phaser units with the latest plug-in power to instantly provide rich phaser effects in any Pro Tools session.

A variety of flexible modulation, sync, and trigger options make TL EveryPhase ideal for creative applications in Pro Tools projects. The plug-in ships with over 120 presets in eight categories providing instant recall of signature phaser sounds. Graphic metering of both output and phase modulation gives precise control, enabling quick and easy dialing in of the exact phaser effect needed.

TL EveryPhase supports Digidesign Pro Tools TDM (Pro Tools|HD Accel, Pro Tools|HD, Pro Tools|24 MIX) or LE (Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, Mbox, Digi 001) systems.

Digidesign has announced the “Gain Control” Digidesign Control Surface Bundles. Through September 30, 2004, customers can save up to $4,480 in plug-ins and Digidesign hardware with one of four control surface promotional bundles-including Command|8, Control|24, and ProControl, with or without an Edit Pack or Fader Pack.

Command|8 bundle

Customers who purchase a Command|8 will also receive the Bomb Factory Pultec Bundle ($595 value) and the latest version of Pro Tools software (Pro Tools LE: a $75 value; Pro Tools TDM: a $150 value) that ships with Command|8.

Control|24 bundle

Customers who purchase a Control|24 will also receive the Bomb Factory Pultec Bundle, Bomb Factory Slightly Rude Compressor, and Digidesign 192 AD expansion card (total bundle value: $2,285 US).

ProControl with Fader Pack or Edit Pack bundle

ProControl (stand-alone) bundle

Customers who have purchased any of the above control surfaces on or after July 1, 2004 are also eligible for the respective bundled software and/or hardware. For software fulfillment, customers must complete and mail a Plug-in Redemption Form to Digidesign. Digidesign has announced new iLok support that enables Pro Tools® system users to purchase and download Web licenses (software authorizations) from the DigiStore in real time.

With the new functionality, Digidesign and Digidesign Development Partner plug-ins and other software options (such as DigiTranslatorcan be licensed at the point of sale, and can then be securely and immediately transferred directly to any inserted iLok USB Smart Key or deposited into a user’s iLok.com account.

Digidesign has also made Web licenses available for plug-in rentals using the same DigiStore purchase, download, and licensing model. Rental periods are flexible, allowing the user to choose between 2-day, 14-day and 31-day periods. Once the rental expires, it can be renewed using any iLok. Twenty-four hour availability and accessibility of plug-ins mean better workflow enhancement and flexibility. While many pro audio software developers offer online purchase with download-only versions of their software, Digidesign is the first to offer software rentals for a plug-in platform that initially includes over forty plug-ins.

Universal Audio has added extended support of the Digidesign Pro Tools platform with the 1.2 software release.

TDM v1.2 is a free upgrade for existing Universal Audio customers who own one of UA’s classic TDM plug-ins: the 176LN/SE, LA-2A Compressor/Limiters or the Pultec EQP-1A vintage EQ.

Version 1.2 integrates full support for Pro Tools 6.4, and the Accel DSP card which allows us to offer not only significantly more plug-in instances, but also 96k support.

TDM Version 1.2 is also available as a free 14-day demo download from their web site featuring all of UA’s TDM plug-ins.
