Tiesto To Headline DJ Hero Game
It looks like those DJ Hero rumors are true.
In his latest email newsletter, Dutch trance superstar DJ Tiesto let slip that he’s involved in the development of a DJing version of Guitar Hero, DJ Hero.
“I am very excited about this!” says Tiësto. “I think this is a great way to introduce people into DJing”.
While DJ Hero is just a video game – it’s sure to have a significant influence on the world of electronic dance music.
“I am sure this brings new fans to the scene,” says Tiesto. “Hopefully the music I have composed appeals to all kinds of fans!”
In February 2008, Activision filed to trademark the name DJ Hero.
Tiësto’s Adagio For Strings
From Samuel Barber’s String Quartet No. 1, Op. 11, composed in 1936, and orchestrated as the Adagio For Strings, remixed by Tiësto, via William Orbit.
Do you think Tiësto’s take on the Adagio For Strings would have Barber rolling over in his grave, or going clubbing?
Ahoy, me hearty! It’s International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
Every Sept 19th, you’ve got license to unleash your inner buccaneer.
You can be forgiven for thinking we’d have trouble working out an electronic music angle for this…but we really didn’t have to work too hard.
Here’s a little pirating music, courtesy of DJ Tiësto:
