Eluder’s Drift is a new ambient release that’s available as a free download.
The EP is comprised of four tracks full of hazy drones, dense textures and milky warmth.
Drift carries a solemn, and sometimes desolate timbre evoked through its processed and swollen tones. Additionally, a spirituality is evoked through the music’s lonely but peaceful sonics and through its inhabitance of a seemingly surreal expansive space.
Eluder (aka Electricwest) has crafted this rich depth and antiqued sonic atmosphere in each of the four tracks using a complex but still minimal sound.

Free Live Tangerine Dream Album
via JustAnotherGarden:
On February 9th, 1976, Tangerine Dream played at the Auditorium Paul-Emile Janson in Brussels (Belgium). It was a fantastic show, one of the best live performances of the classic Tangerine Dream trio of Baumann, Franke and Froese.
Fortunately, someone in the audience recorded the show.
This 1st generation tape was re-mastered by 3N and a splendid artwork was created by Giuseppe Milazzo. This concert is volume 27 of the Tangerine Tree Project, gathering almost all the live performances of the band.
It should be noticed that Tangerine Dream gave its agreement to this project, as far as it was a non-profit venture, produced by fans to fans. The music is “a perfect mix of sequencers, mellotrons, guitar”. One should add that it was one of the most creative period of Tangerine Dream and that their live performances were unique events where improvisation played a very important part. This Brussels concert was exceptional by the interplay between the three musicians: some parts remind Ricochet or Encore, two official live recordings. Read more…
Free Music From Gel-Sol
Here’s a little set from Seattle’s Gel-Sol (producer/musician Andrew Reichel), whose sound ranges from ambient soundscapes to complex, rhythmic electronica.
In 2004, Gel-Sol released Gel-Sol 1104 (aka Music Made For You…And By You, I Mean Me.) on the UK’s cult ambient label Em:t Records. Gel-Sol’s follow-up album Unifactor continues the tradition of his unique, amorphous sound collages, and was released on Upstairs Recordings (Vancouver) in April 2007.
You can listen to or download another free Gel-Sol set at the Gel-Sol page on SoundCloud.
