How Clubbing Changed the World takes a look at how British underground music emerged from raves and clubs to take on the world.
The documentary is a bit hyperbolic, but features anecdotes from David Guetta, Armand van Helden, Paul Oakenfold, will.i.am, Nile Rodgers, Goldie, Pete Tong, Katy B, Skream, Moby and others.

9-9-09, via iloveanalogue, is a short ‘oral history’ of drum machines, celebrating 25 years of the Roland TR-909.
Narrated by Robbie Ryan, the video traverses the history of the programmable drum machine from the CR78, TR808, TB303, TR909, and LinnDrum, with audio examples of each.
But what really makes this oral history unique are Ryan’s vocal approximations of each of the devices and the music that they were used on. “Tchk-a-tchk-a tcha, tchk-a-tchk-a thcha….”
The Delptronics LDB-1 “Little Drummer Boy” is a modern take on the classic analog drum machines of the 80’s, like the Roland TR-606 and TR-808.
The brain of the LDB-1 is a powerful digital microcontroller that triggers the analog drum sounds and provides the sequencer, programmability and connectivity features.
The LDB-1 interfaces with other instruments, synthesizers, DAWs, etc. through analog connections, MIDI, and DINsync.
This is a quick demo of the
Delptronics LDB1e Analog Drum Eurorack Module.
The module offers eight analog drum sounds in a 4HP wide module.
Connect it to any clock source or sequencer. Built-in gate to trigger conversion means a square wave of any duty cycle will trigger the drums.
An expansion module is planned that will allow individual outputs and volume control for each instrument.
Kosmic Sound takes a look at MIDI control keyboards.
While this is a promo for Kosmic Sound, it does a pretty good job of introducing some of the key differences to consider in buying a MIDI control keyboard and looks at examples from Behringer, AKAI, M-Audio, Novation and Roland.

Sunday Synth Jam: Pol’s Kitchen, by reader, producer and soundtrack artist POL, captures a MadPad kitchen jam.
MadPad is a free app for the iPhone and iPad that lets you create video samples and then trigger and sequence them from virtual pads.
Ville Väisänen sent word of a free sample library, made with the Korg Monotribe:
I made this free drum/percussion sample pack with my monotribe. I found it is great box for such sounds; with pitch and filter envelopes and great sounding resonant filter I recorded some pretty powerful analog bass drums, effect sounds and other percussion.
