Description:

Abstraction 04 is an all-you-can-eat buffet of domestic “found sound”, which has been purposefully polished, refined, and formated into rhythmic loop adders designed to spice up your percussive pallet and inject freshness into your grooves. This time around however, it is targeted directly at down tempo breaks, centrally-Intelligent hip-hop, and experimental urban futurism. Furthermore, this massive second helping of glitch rhythms and real-world sampled eccentricism, is for the first time paired together with analog kick and snare loops to synergistically co-create some seriously freaky future funk designed to make 3008 look old-school.

All Abstraction 04 loop content is produced at a native tempo of 106 BPM and is designed to effortlessly stretch from 90BPM to 120BPM and beyond to fit all tempo ranges used in current urban and down-tempo breaks music sub-genres.

Features:

1,040 new cutting edge loop files (over 1GB, 44.1K/24bit): 160 Solo Kick Loops, 160 Solo Snare Loops, 320 Abstraction Percussion Loops, 320 Mix Loops, 80 Extra Bonus Abstraction Perc Loops.

Both Mix and Solo Element loops are provided. Four different loop types are available.

All solo element loops are provided without additional auxiliary Reverb or delay effects. This keeps the loops pristinely clean and sharp, enables easy custom slicing and editing, and allows the producer to apply his own favorite effects.

All percussion samples are made in stereo and make use of extreme spatial processing techniques at the sample level to produce sounds that literally jump out of the speakers.

Abstraction 04: Found Sound Urban Intelligence is available in Apple Loops, Acid Loops, REX Loops, and Single Hit Samples versions, starting at $39.95 USD for a single format, with additional formats available for $14.95 USD. A free set of samples is available for download from the product page.

Galbanum has released a new sound library – Abstraction 03: Found Sound Club Edition – described as a “cornucopia of pseudo organic glitch rhythms and real-world sampled eccentricism, where any household sound – from the hand saw, to the power drill, to literally the kitchen sink – is fair game as a substitution for a normal drum machine.”

All Abstraction 03 loop content is produced at a native tempo of 128 BPM and can be stretched to fit all tempo ranges used in current dance music sub-genres.

According to Galbanum, Abstraction 03 is suitable for:

Tech House

Minimal

Progressive

Electro

Deep House

DnB and Breaks

Ambient and Chill Out

Glitch Hop

Trip Hop

Electronica and IDM

Left Field

Abstract Rock

Film and Game Scoring

Sound FX

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS:

1,792 new cutting edge files! 768 Loops plus 1024 single-hit abstract electronic percussion samples. All files are 44.1K/24bit content.

Loops available in Apple Loops, Acid Loops, or REX2 formats. All loops are 2 measures long and are designed to allow using partial segments of the full loop to give thousands of variations.

Single-hit samples are intelligently grouped into 32 instrument folders and named with MIDI note names to facilitate auto-key-mappings for supported samplers.

SPECIAL FEATURES

All loops are provided without standard embedded kick/snare/high-hat patterns. This makes the loops much more usable in various genres of dance music where the producer is free to mix and arrange them with his own favorite samples.

All samples are made in stereo and make use of extreme spatial processing techniques at the sample level to produce sounds that literally jump out of the speakers. This produces loops which are very active spatially while keeping perfect silence in-between hits when desired. The result is loops that can cut and punch through even dense mixes without taking up huge amounts of mix space.

All loops are provided without additional auxiliary reverb or delay effects. This keeps the loops pristinely clean and sharp, enables easy custom slicing and editing, and allows send effects to be added as needed at the mix stage by the producer to perfectly suite the needs of the given project. The result is more flexibility and better coherence between the loops and the other elements of the project.

PRICING

Apple Loops, Acid Loops, REX Loops, and the Single Hit Samples are all separate downloads. Various combinations are available to allow customers to pick, choose, and pay for only exactly what they need. Customers may choose a single format for $39.95 and may add additional formats for only $14.95.

Abstraction 01 MS is a premium format of Galbanum’s Abstraction 01 loop collection for use in U&I Software’s MetaSynth.

In addition to reproducing all of the bleeding-edge Abstraction 01 content in MetaSynth native formats, the MS version also offers an additional 200 new loops and grants access to exclusive power tools to transform and algorithmically mutate new custom loops.

The true power of the MS format is that, like the REX format, the loops represent both a collection of isolated samples and the performance data. Many sound-ware developers today offer various technologies to allow manipulation of the musical performance embedded in a REX groove or instrument phrase, but nothing can compare with the unique graphical power of MetaSynth.

Micro and macro edits and transformations which would take hours in other tools can be made in seconds. Abstraction 01 MS includes a collection of 64 graphical groove patterns which can be used as filters and displacement maps to quickly generate variations or completely new performances. It thus represents not only a sample loop collection, but also a custom algorithmic loop production factory.

Abstraction 01 MS Specs

Over 500MB of 44.1K/24bit content

Over 450 Loops and Image Synth Presets

Over 275 MetaSynth Multi-Sampler Instruments each with 32 samples

Over 8,500 total samples

64 custom Image Filter and Displacement Map presets

The Abstraction 01 REX format is also now available.

Abstraction 01 MS is priced at $49.95. Crossgrades from Abstraction 01 are available for $19.95.

Galbanum has introduced Architecture NI Waveforms 2 – a collection of over 1,800 Wavetables available in three popular formats.

Wavetables are single cycle periodic waveforms that form the most fundamental building block of synthesis. They are the sound generators, and can be thought of as the oscillator of a classic analog synth, but they provide infinitely more variability in shape and spectrum. Wavetables are responsible for determining a given sound’s primary timbre, or “tone color”. This collection offers a huge variety of waveforms logically organized in sub-folder categories.

The first version of this collection contained over 1,000 waveforms and was originally developed for Galbanum’s MetaSynth content DVD, Architecture Volume One. In June of 2006 it was translated to NI Absynth format and released as the “Architecture NI Absynth Waveforms” collection. In August of 2006 a large part of it was then also licensed to NI to use as composite Wavetables in Massive. This is the second version of the library for Absynth and MetaSynth. It is the first time it has been released in Universal (.wav) format, and opens the library to a sea of new users. It contains more than 800 new waveforms to push the total to over 1,800

The collection contains some very interesting new categories and vastly expands some of the previous ones. Many of the new waveforms were designed not only to be used as oscillators, but also to function in more advanced capacities depending upon what application they are used in. These uses include things such as LFO shapes, envelope shapes, modulation shapes, distortion curves, and much more. Users interested in the true bleeding-edge of modern sound-design are encouraged to explore these immensely powerful areas.

According to Galbanum, anyone with aspirations to be on the cutting edge of modern sound-design, or lead new movements in all forms of progressive electronica will find this collection invaluable. Key users include sound-designers, producers, scoring professionals, artists, multi-media developers, and all synthesis and sound-design enthusiasts who are looking to expand their sonic pallet into new territories.

These products are a simple and inexpensive method to quickly and effortlessly expand Absynth’s, MetaSynth’s, or other third-party synths’ and samplers’ awesome sonic potential in various ways including:

Vast expansion of available timbre pallet for wavetable based synths

Transformation of sampler instruments into synth instruments

Bleeding-edge sound-design using complex waveforms as modulation sources and other advanced techniques

Galbanum’s Andrew Souter has been closely involved with the development of MetaSynth for several years and is the sole developer of Architecture Volume One. He is part of NI’s sound-design team, and worked on the recent Absynth 4.0 and Massive releases.

The Architecture Waveforms collection was developed by Souter using tools that allowed for a new level of detail and precision that was previously impossible. Many of them were computed algorithmically in 64-bit floating point using Visual C++. Many others were tediously edited at the single sample level – single sample point that is. Doing this ensured that all waveforms were as mathematically perfect as possible and represent exactly the perfect form at the highest possible fidelity for a given function.

Pricing & Availability

The Architecture Waveforms collections are available for purchase and direct download.

Architecture NI Waveforms 2: $24.95 or $9.95 for upgrades.

Architecture MS Waveforms: $24.95 or $9.95 for upgrades.

Architecture Universal Waveforms: $29.95.
