Grace Jones

This simple but creeptacular video is a promo for Grace Jones’s album Hurricane, to be released in October 2008.

Co-produced by Jones with Ivor Guest, the eight-track set will also feature contributions by long-time collaborators Sly and Robbie, Brian Eno, Wally Badarou, Tricky, Uzziah ‘Sticky’ Thompson, Mikey ‘Mao’ Chung, Barry Reynolds, John Justin, Martin Slattery, Philip Sheppard, Paulo Goude, Robert Logan, Don-E and Tony Allen, with recording engineering duties by Cameron ‘Engine’ Craig.

Having recorded two albums in the ’90s that have yet to see a release to this day, Hurricane marks Jones’s first new effort since 1989’s Bulletproof Heart. Jones recently premiered some of the album when she made an appearance at Massive Attack’s Meltdown concert series in London on June 19, and will headline the upcoming Secret Garden Party Festival in Huntingdon, in the UK on Saturday July 26.
