Steinberg have announced that Groove Agent 3 is now shipping. Groove Agent 3 provides new virtual drummer modules, drum kits and a range of other features .

Steinberg has announced that Groove Agent 2, an update to its Groove Agent virtual drummer plug-in, is now shipping worldwide.

“This latest version of Groove Agent offers more drum styles, sounds and grooves for just about any musical arena imaginable,” states Helge Vogt, Steinberg’s Product Manager for Virtual Instruments. “GA2 not only sounds great and is exceedingly flexible but is also a fantastic source of inspiration for professional and hobby users alike,” continues.

Groove Agent 2 is Steinberg’s virtual drummer plug-in that provides great-sounding, dynamic drum tracks. 84 styles from the last 50 years of music history are powered by user configurable, high quality drum kits, covering every conceivable genre from 50s swing to Detroit techno and everything in between. 25 complexity levels in each style provide the right beat for any mood within a track, including an array of fills, breaks and articulations for each style.

Groove Agent 2 supports the VST, AU and DXi formats, with the ReWire 2 implementation allowing full integration in ReWire hosts such as Pro Tools. A standalone mode allows easy operation without a host application.

Groove Agent 2 is now available for $249.99 USD. Existing Groove Agent customers can update to the new Groove Agent 2 version for only $79.99 USD. Steinberg Key (Hardware USB copy protection device) not included.

2005 NAMM Show: Steinberg Media Technologies has announced the launch of Groove Agent 2, an update to its successful Groove Agent virtual drummer.
