In an effort to bring great vintage reverb tone back to the masses, Godlyke has introduced the Guyatone FR3000V Tube Drive Reverb. A stand-alone analog reverb unit that offers a multitude of tonal options for a variety of applications, the FR3000V is set apart from other analog reverbs by its high quality tube compliment and controls.
Each FR3000V unit is loaded with New Old Stock General Electric 6K6GT, JAN GE 5751, and JAN GE 12AT7WC tubes instead of the current-production third world tubes used by most manufacturers. These vintage tubes are tested and burned in prior to loading and then tested again in the FR3000V circuit for performance and tone. The FR3000V also features an Accutronics 4AB3C1B long reverb tank – the industry standard in spring reverbs and the recommended replacement unit for many vintage amplifiers. This 2-spring tank offers a longer reverb trail, allowing for a wider variety of effects than other units.
The FR3000V also features individual Level, Bass, Treble, Reverb Level and Master Volume knobs that allow for precise tonal control over the reverb signal. By manipulating these five controls a virtually unlimited variety of reverb palettes can be attained, from the natural tone a lively room to the monstrous echoes of the largest arena; from traditional bouncy spring sounds to the otherworldly dimension of the largest plates.
To round the package off, the FR3000V includes a Direct Bypass switch that allows for Dry/Reverb mix or Reverb only output signals. Remote bypass is possible using an optional footswitch (Guyatone SB-2 recommended), and the FR3000V has dual front/rear inputs to allow for mounting in a rack or road case.
The FR3000V list price is $499 and it is covered by a three-year parts and labor warranty.
Guyatone has introduced the Guyatone TD-X Tube Echo. Not only does this unit mark a first for Guyatone as they move in a new direction of hybrid digital/analog effect units, it also deserves landmark status as the first Guyatone unit that was conceived and designed in conjunction with Godlyke, Inc.
The TD-X takes the company’s popular MD-3 Micro Delay circuit and combines it with a custom-designed filter array that allows the TD-X to emulate a vast variety of vintage and modern delay sounds including BBD, tape, and digital. The key to the TD-X’s versatility are its two Simulator controls. While most digital units emulate analog tones by using a simple high-frequency roll off, the TD-X features a unique frequency boost/cut filtering system combined with tube warmth and saturation for a unique, organic delay tone that is much more realistic than digital modeling.
The Guyatone TD-X features the following:
- Real 12AX7A vacuum tube in circuit.
- 1/16” thick, bent-steel chassis with baked enamel finish and air vent for tube.
- 2600 milliseconds of delay time.
- Delay Level, Delay Time, and Feedback controls with switchable Short, Medium and Long delay ranges.
- Capable of self-oscillation at high feedback settings.
- Analog Simulation control adds tube saturation on the Delay Repeats and is blendable against unfiltered Delay sound.
- Tape Simulation knob adds a preset EQ curve (ultra-low cut, high cut, mid boost and low boost) that is blendable against unfiltered Delay sound.
- Dual Outputs (Wet and Dry).
- True Bypass Switching using a 3PDT mechanical switch to assure transparent operation in bypass.
- 12-Volt DC operation (Guyatone AC-12 Adaptor included).
- 3-year limited warranty
- List Price $299
