Korg introduced their nanoSERIES 2 Slim-line USB-MIDI Controllers early in the year, at the 2011 NAMM Show. They’ve just released this video, though, which gives an overview of each of the controllers in the series.
The nanoKEY2 is equipped with 25 velocity-sensing keys.
For entering drum parts, the nanoPAD2 offers 16 responsive pads and an X-Y touchpad.
The nanoKONTROL2 offers knobs, switches, and faders – for controlling any DAW computer based DAW or numerous types of other music production software.
The nanoSeries 2 controllers are available now for around $50.
Korg’s microKONTROL and KONTROL49 USB-MIDI controllers are now being bundled with a variety of popular software products suited for dance music creation and performance — Ableton Live Lite 4 Korg Edition; SampleTank 2 Korg Edition; Korg MDE-X effects; Reason Adapted for KORG and UVI Korg Edition — collectively known as the Creative Kontrol Pack, Volume 2.
Ableton’s Live Lite 4 Korg Edition is a “Lite” edition of the latest version of the audio/MIDI loop based sequencer. Featuring two plug-in instruments (a sampler and drum machine), five plug-in effects and hosting for VST/AU plug-ins, it enables MIDI and audio loops and phrases to be recorded and played back for intuitive, real-time song creation.
