If you’re like a lot of Synthtopia readers, you thought that Little Boots shows a lot of potential, but that she blew it with the mix for her latest single, Earthquake, embedded above.

This is the latest video from Little Boots (Victoria Hesketh), Earthquake.

Hesketh showed a great deal of promise with her bedroom synth jams – but the production of her EP and her videos seem to have largely homogenized her sound & look, Casio SK5 notwithstanding.

Saturday Synth Porn: Little Boots (& the malfunctioning Tenori-On!) at the Wrongbar, Toronto, September 14, 2009.

Saturday Synth Porn: Little Boot’s Remedy sounds pretty mainstream but has enough synth riffs, retro-futuristic vibe and Tenory On goodness to recommend it.

According to Little Boots, “The song is about dancing and music being a remedy to some kind of poison in your life. I wanted to write a dark dance pop song a bit like Britney Spears’ Toxic. The lyrics are not really very personal, I was more imagining a situation.”

Electro pop artist Little Boots‘ career is going to get a boost from this ad.

Victoria’s Secret has paired the song Meddle, from Little Boots’ forthcoming debut album Hands. with supermodels to demonstrate a bra you can wear seven ways.

A bra you can wear seven ways is way too complicated for us – but at least the appeal of Meddle is obvious.

Check out this performance of Meddle from last year by Little Boots, aka Victoria Hesketh, on Tenori On, Stylophone and piano.

      something to think about

The orchestral composer is open to all the problems and conceits of the architect, liable to be trapped in a form that is inherently nonimprovisational, nonempirical. I shouldn’t be so absurdly doctrinaire, but I have to say that I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass if I never heard another piece of such music. It provides almost nothing useful for me. — Brian Eno
