Livid has announced that it’s now shipping BASE – a MIDI controller that combines the technology of drum machines and touch screens.

Base merges pressure sensitive pads with touch faders, all lit with full-color LEDs. Base is completely editable and reprogrammable. You can customize the colors, notes, messages, velocity, and even dial in the pressure sensitivity per pad. It?s adaptable to any DAW and already has advanced scripts for Ableton Live and Bitwig. Livid Base MIDI Controller Combines ‘The Technology Of Drum Machines & Touch Screens’

livid-base-controller2013 NAMM Show: Livid Instruments has introduced Base – a new MIDI controller that’s designed to combine the  technology of drum machines and touch screens.

Base offers 32 pressure-sensitive pads, nine touch sliders, eight touch-sensitive buttons, and eight momentary buttons. Base offers visual feedback va RGB lights and a simple character display.

Livid Base MIDI Controller Looks Sexy (NAMM Leak)

2013 NAMM Show: The NAMM leaks, or at least unofficial introductions, are starting to crop up everywhere. Here’s a intriguing photo of a new MIDI controller, the Livid Base.

Official specs are to come – but the Livid Base appears to offer an 8-column matrix of multi-color buttons for Ableton Live, along with 8 channels of LED touch faders, along with some master controls.
