Bridechamber has announced the Metasonix TM-1m Waveshaper, a MOTM-formatted Metasonix TM-1.
This version of the TM-1 is 2U and has attenuators for the CVs — skinnier, fully modularized, and not yellow.
Having this in MOTM is nice - but I kind of like the lurid yellow of the original.
It’s $400.
Here’s the description of the original Metasonix TM-1:

Now you know:
In this video the Metasonix TM-7 Scrotum Smasher is annihilating the Analogue Solutions SEMblance monosynth. The LFO of the Moog CP-251 is modulating the Scrotum amount. All of it is running through a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo that’s pretty cranked. The first little clip is the SEMblance dry.
Mega.ModularPlanner.co.uk has a cool new online modular synthesizer planner for Eurorack-size modules.
It’s a work in progress, but it has modules from the biggest manufacturers already. It’s just missing scanned images from several of the companies.
Note that it does let you do some things that might not be possible with real modules (see the image above).
I’d [...]

From our trip to Namm, we brought you video of Metasonix‘ Eric Barbour introducing his G-1000 23 tube amplifier Fucking Fucker guitar amp.
Eric wasn’t demoing the amp, though. Fortunately, the guys at Big City Music have posted a video that gives you a taste of what this thing can do:
At the 2008 Winter NAMM Show, Eric Barbour of Metasonix introduced the G-1000 Fucking Fucker (not the sucking fucker), a high-end tube amp that brings Barbour’s interest in using using vacuum tubes in original ways to amps.
We caught up with Eric at the show and this was what he had to say about the new [...]
It’s almost NAMM time, and you know what that means - another aural assault from the warped mind of Metasonix’ Eric Barbour (interview link).
There’s no official announcement on it yet, but it looks like Metasonix latest tube-based monster is going to be called the Sucking Fucker. Or the Fucking Fucker.
David Lovelace is doing the graphics [...]
If you’re an electronica fan visiting a strange town, what could be cooler than having a DJ play you some cool tracks and show you around town?
That’s the basic premise of Time Out’s The Other Side Berlin. The release combines a CD and a DVD to create a multimedia blitzkreig that introduces you to the [...]
A couple of weeks ago we brought you a sneek preview from the Winter NAMM Show of the Metasonix TM-7 Scrotum Smasher.
Now, Metasonix’ Eric Barbour has released the details on the Scrotum Smasher. Here’s his explanation of how it works:
The TM-7 is basically a mean, angry guitar preamp made of three vacuum tubes. Plus a [...]

2007 Winter NAMM Show: Metasonix introduced the TM-7 Ultra-Distortion Scrotum Smasher, the latest lo-fi tube-based sound mangler from the mind of Eric Barbour.
Barbour has described his modules as brain destroying, meaty, bizarre, crude, nasty, powerful and evil, and the Scrotum Smasher looks to be no exception.
The TM-7 joins his other tube-based creations, including the [...]

NAMM 2005: Metasonix introduced the latest tube-based sonic violation from Eric Barbour, the TX-2 Butt Probe. Possibly the most offensive product released at this year’s NAMM, the TX-2 promises to be “far more extreme than the famed Sherman Filterbank, and far more tube-freaky than your mother’s enema kit.”
The Metasonix TX-2 is made with three type [...]
Metasonix
Metasonix makes tube-based analog synthesizer components. They can be used with most analog synthesizers, and can also be used as guitar effects boxes.
Metasonix’s products are built with all-tube signal paths. As a result, they offer sounds and effects that are not available using traditional analog equipment or software plug-ins. According to Metasonix, the designs are [...]
