MixMeister Fusion

Numark is now shipping the MixMeister Control DJ system, designed to let you focus less on the computer screen and more on your performance.

Numark partnered with the MixMeister to create a hardware control surface specifically designed for interaction with and control of MixMeister software. 

MixMeister Control contains 94 pre-mapped hardware controls laid out in identical fashion to the software it controls. No configuration or setup is needed, and the single-cable USB connection carries both control data and power from DJs’ Mac or PCs to MixMeister Control.

The software enables DJs to mix complete sets from full-length songs, integrate and edit loops, mix, and produce performance mixes with full Digital Audio Workstation functionality.

Numark has announced Omni Control, a DJ control surface with built-in audio interface. It comes with Native Instruments Traktor LE 3 and MixMeister Fusion Live DJ software programs.

Omni Control is not only a hardware controller for performing with the included software, it also houses a professional digital-audio interface to feed headphones and the sound system.

MixMeister Fusion and MixMeister Studio 7.2 have been updated. This release marks the first Mac versions of MixMeister.

Version 7.2 of both packages includes the following:

• Native Mac OSX version is universal binary for PowerPC or Intel processors
• Improved time stretching accurately matches beats with fast or slow tempos
• Enhanced timeline display provides clear division of measures
• Effect automation via MIDI controllers – external hardware can now manipulate effect parameters
• Support for stored EQ settings in transition templates for advanced users
• “Fade and Cue Next” feature fades and pauses a mix then starts at the next track – prefect for voice over announcements (Fusion only)
• New master volume control for preview output – headphone and main out can be controlled independently (Fusion only)

Fusion 7.2 lets musicians maintain up to eight songs perfectly beat-matched at all times, enabling improvisation with effects to shape the music in a million ways. Fusion supports harmonic mixing, VST effects, intelligent looping, MIDI hardware controllers and more. Fusion is designed to mix complete DJ sets from full-length songs to achieve the functionality of a loop editor or digital audio workstation, and can blend songs together to create DJ performances.

MixMeister Studio 7.2 is the only digital audio application designed for high-end mix production projects. Studio gives DJs the ability to make nanosecond tempo adjustments, shift the key of any song, add beat loops and plug-in special effects and much more.
