A demo of two Arduinome (Monome clone) controllers controlling Nerdscroll.
One clone is using button pads from SparkFun, the other is using the original Monome buttonpads.
This is an interesting side-effect of the Monome design’s open nature. Getting more people involved with hacking on this idea is sure to bring the costs down and help establish this [...]

Stribe + Scalar

16Aug08

A demo showing using the stribe with an app called ‘scalar‘ by vlad spears.
It is similar to ‘balron’ for the 40h. The stribes are divided into 8 sections, and so act sort of like a grid of buttons.

Snazzy video work courtesy of Mike Landry.
Let me know what you think - is the Monome all that after all, or is [...]

Julien Bayle’s site features an interesting work in progress looking at building a Monome clone. Even more interesting, his project features multi-color LEDs.
It’s a heavy duty project, requiring coding, wiring and design skills. But if you can’t wait for a Monome or just don’t have the bucks, it could be the way to go.

This is a quick demo of Polygomé, an interesting patch that Matthew Davidson (stretta) made for the Monome.
It’s a free download.
