Mouse On Mars Intros Fluxpad (Sneak Preview)


Mouse on Mars has introduced Fluxpad – a sample based groovebox/workstation with a unique approach to sequencing.

It’s developed by Mouse on Mars’ Andi Toma & Jan St. Werner, with developer Jan T V Falkenstein.

In Fluxpad you “paint“ in your music with your finger, which leads to completely different results than a traditional sequencer with piano rolls or step buttons. Continue reading

Mouse on Mars’ Live Setup

This behind the scenes video takes a look at the live performance setup of Mouse On Mars.

Mouse on Mars’ three live members (Andi Toma, Jan St. Werner and touring drummer/singer Dodo Nkishi) use a performance system based around three laptops running Ableton Live.

Everything the band needs for their performance is contained within one Live Set, running on each of the three MIDI-synchronized computers on stage. Each song has its own scene in Live, so the band can freely change the song order and spontaneously loop sections by triggering the corresponding scene.
