Start your week off right with this awesomely strange music video – Gelbart’s Mass hypnosis by magnets (WORM studio version).

It appears to have something to do with alien sweet potato mind control – but you can’t be sure with these things.

Recorded at the WORM CEM studios in Rotterdam on the Arp 2500, VCS-3 and Korg MS-20.

Official – Mark Knight & D.Ramirez V Underworld – Downpipe

via toolroomrecords:

The tallest building in Dublin city was wired up with two huge 100,000 Euro screens.

The combination of Underworld’s unmistakable talent for drawing on primal energies and Mark Knight and D.Ramirez’s unquestionable production skills and knowledge of the Dance Floor tells a powerful story that is ahead of the curve and pays off with a monster riff in the drop. An insanely infectious piece of music that has feeling and passion rushing through its veins, the combination of tech grooves and intense progressive-build nods heavily to the tight production skills of Mark Knight and D.Ramirez and sees a stunning return to international dance floors for one of electronic music’s most iconic voices Karl Hyde, for this, the much anticipated and long overdue follow up to the 2007 anthem Columbian Soul.

Having created a defining soundtrack to a chemical generation with the almighty Born Slippy and countless club crossover hits including the likes of Rez and Cowgirl, Underworld are highly regarded as one of the best in the business.
Take this heritage and legacy and combine it with one of the most prolific DJ production partnerships in the world right now and you have something very special indeed.
Directed By Eoghan Kidney Special Thanks to www.daft.ie/playhouse

OT: This video’s been around for a while – but it’s still as awesome as ever.

Ever think what you’re doing doesn’t make a difference – or that one person can’t do much to change things?

Check out how one guy, dancing like an ecstatic madman, changes a ho-hum show into an unmissable dance party. With people running to join in the fun, holding their camera phones over their heads to catch the action.

I’ve seen this happen at gigs before and it completely changes the energy, for both the crowd and the musicians.

If you know this guy, or someone like him, invite them to your gig. Give them your CD. Be their groupie.

One ecstatic madman fan could be enough.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s Relax has received the 2009 remix treatment.

Even without the remix treatment, though, Trevor Horn’s production sounds remarkably modern, even after 25 years.

This music video, Tenorance, features Yamaha Tenori On and Motif ES Rack.

Details below.

via Tonneman:

This song has been created by me using the Yamaha Tenori-On. I used the Tenori to create the layers (patterns) using score mode and random mode. A total of 8 different layers have been created. Once the layers were created, I used the Tenori to control the Yamaha Motif ES Rack to produce the sounds (8 parts). Obviously, the Motif ES Rack can produce much better sounds than the Tenori’s internal sound processor.Have fun!
