Be glad you’re not Fatboy Slim.

He may be a superstar DJ, but the Mail Online is ready to write him off as “ageing fast”, and ready to send to the glue factory:

There wasn’t much youthful-looking about Fatboy Slim, who hit 45 last month, as he came back from his latest DJing jaunt at the weekend.

Mail Online has learned that Cook, who lives with his wife and son Woody on the coast in Brighton, is suffering from debilitating back pain after years of lugging heavy records round the world in a bag slung over his shoulder.

He told a passenger on the flight from Olbia to Gatwick: ‘All the long flights and all the gigging have taken their toll.

The DJ looked exhausted coming off the flight, and also showed his hair has turned almost completely grey.

But that is just perhaps that is just what a life of hard-partying does to you.

They’re pretty harsh on Fatboy, but let’s face it – electronic music artists and fans alike are getting older.

WIll anybody want to go to the club to see grandpa spinning the disks in five years? Fortunately, most of us don’t have to worry about that. And remember, Grandma Techno is still at it.

I thought it was magic to be able to catch something identically on tape and then be able to play around with it, run it backwards; I thought that was great for years. — Brian Eno
