NUSofting has released Modelonia Physical Modeling Synth v1.7.0.6.

Modelonia is a physical-modeling synthesizer that uses a hybrid of two distinct model ‘types’-

a plucked-string model, and a blown-bore (ie trumpet-type) model. Each model may be used simultaneously, and the signal path allows cross-modulation between the two models for more interesting and complex tones.

Nusofting has released Broken Drum Machine for Mac OS X.

BDM is a plugin instrument designed for musicians who love chaos. BDM offers four drum pads in the style of an old beat box — one each for Bass Drum, Snare, Hi-Hat and Stick. Each pad features the usual suspects for shaping the synthesized sound, including tone, decay, pitch, pan and gain.

On top of the standard controls comes the broken factor — each pad features its own sliders for chaos and chance. Chaos sets the amount of variations to the original sound, and chance is the probability algorithm for the chaos to occur.

By varying and automating the chaos and chance sliders, you can achieve an infinite range of wild and unpredictable sounds, similar to creating glitches and bleeps by manipulating an analog circuit. Read more…

NUSofting has introduced Acidome VST synthesizer for Windows PCs, a synth designed to bring you an optimized set of useful features and a rich, juicy sound.

Acidome Features:

• Osc 1, the “variosc”: With this sound generator you can draw a waveform with the mouse, or load one of the many shapes available in the included Acidome Waveform Library. If it looks boring, edit it directly. You can modify a waveform in realtime — while you’re playing — and hear the sound morphing. Acidome includes the WaveTable Picker, a tool for you to convert standard WAV files into templates for the Acidome OSC 1.
• Osc 2, the “multiosc” This sound generator is made from 4 “non band limited” oscillators with ramp waveform. You can adjust the amount of detune beetwen them with the “Unispread” control for an immediate ‘phat’, raw and dirty classic sound.
