Back in July, we highlighted some of the best entries in Moby’s Ooh Yeah video contest. 

Moby’s chosen a winner, and Valerio Sacchetto’s lighthearted take on 70’s adult films came out on top. 

Moby warns: “If you’re watching at work, your boss might think it’s porn.”

Remember former teen star Traci Lords and her brief, but almost respectable, career in hardcore techno?

In this video, via Stereogum, Lords discusses the difficulty of putting together a touring techno band, and DJ’s as “gods of clubs.”

But when she’s not appearing in films like Sasha Grey Superslut & Teenage Anal Princess #5, she’s half of the experimental music/art project Atelecine, described as “experimental dub minimalist”.

Here’s how she describes it:

I have music/art project called atelecine.

For my part in it I sometimes sing, play guitar, keyboards and tape loops – that’s right I said tape loops, bitches.

I like to get naked while I record.

It’s an experimental death dub orgasm kind of project.

The Atelecine MySpace page has a variety of tracks featuring Grey on synth, tape loops & voice.

Grey challenges a lot of stereotypes – but also suggests that, at least for some, porn is a better career choice than electronic music.

Here’s some background on Grey, from her personal bio:

I performed my first sex scene on May 1st, 2006 in The Fashionistas 2: Safado. Although I have come a long way since then, many people in society believe that I am a victim.
